BIO
About Vanilla Cornbread Vanilla Cornbread has been playing around the Charlotte area and surrounding cities since the group first formed in 2002. As the R&B and Soul set list grew, more and more people began to show up at the gigs ready to dance. Thanks mostly to word of mouth, they were able to build a following in the Charlotte area that has given them great support and allowed them to do what they love most.Band Members:Jeff Jones Lead Guitar / VocalsJeff is the newest member of Cornbread. A bio is coming soon!Ardis Vickers Bass, Backing VocalsArdis is from Kannapolis, NC and has played for over 30 years in the Charlotte area with various bands in genres ranging from country to rock to soul to r&b. His influences include Wayne Nelson of Little River Band, Tim Schmidt and Randy Miesner of The Eagles, and studio bassist Joe Osborne.Jeremy Blalock - Guitar, Lead VocalsJeremy had a guitar and microphone in his hands at the early age of three and thankfully he hasn't put them down. He began his music career playing and singing gospel in Lincolnton, NC. He played in several bands growing up including a full-time spot at Charlotte's Long Branch Saloon where he sank his teeth and mastered the country genre. Jeremy joined Vanilla Cornbread in January of 2011 and brings an amazing talent and raw soul.Bo Collins Drums, Lead VocalsThere is no other musician like Bo in this area. The first thing you will notice about him is the amount of soul he puts into his vocals and how much he enjoys performing. His passion for playing the drums began at age eleven, tagging along with his fathers band and occasionally sitting in on Johnny Be good or Mustang Sally. Bo discovered he had this combined talent in his church youth group and it carried over into college and beyond. He sang and played in bands such as Slappin Grandma, Link 13, Tooling for Molly, and The Low-Down Blues Unit. Over the years he has developed into a world class musician and feels he has found an ideal situation with Vanilla Cornbread.Vanilla Cornbread uses the best quality equipment and P.A. Our favorite P.A. to use at gigs is the Bose Tower system...simply amazing sound. We have a larger P.A. for bigger events if needed for even greater projection.
